my son is still studying with the jw's and is giving his first talk this tuesday.

he's 22 and still living in my home.

As a father that I am after all I've been through. I would'nt go. But thats just me.

At 22 is he giving a bible reading used to be talk No.2 or a full fledged talk. I don't know how knowledgable you are about the witnesses but this is expected from young brothers not something in my humble opinion to be celebrated.

Nice to see your video Shyla. I like how you call them Watchtower. I was born in too been disfellowshipped since 1985. My choice the best thing that ever happened to me. It get easier the longer you are out.

what most people fail to realize about 1914

in 1914 a great war broke out and the jw's have used that to add credibility to their idea that jesus took over power in that year and satan was cast out to earth.

what most people forget or do not realize is that jesus said there would be 'wars and reports of wars' but no big deal for the time was not yet.

then of course the great tribulation would break out and would be a game changer, but in the 1960's the gb stopped saying the great tribulation started in 1914 and said its now a future event.

I was kicked out too and in retrospect its what I wanted. I have spent my life trying to understand the world around me and the universe as well.

Trying to understand China? I don't think is any different than trying to understand yourself. They are human just like you and I are and are capable of the same things, good and bad, they just see things from a different perspectice but then everyone does.

Well black man . I was disfellowshipped in 1985 for asking questions I just could'nt keep bottled up inside no more. I have spent the years since rebuilding my life it was hard enough for me but I was young. But I can't even imagine what it must be like for a layed off Bethelite! Its been so many years for me without talking to my former familly and freinds, I was born in to this cult, and have been out for soooo long thats why I did'nt know what a "lay off" was. I am glad to hear though, that funds are drying up for them here in North America but there is such a large third world out there just waiting for them to exploit.

It's funny your name is Black Man one of the elders who disfellowshipped me last name was Blackman and he was a black man.
